The Cape Fair area is the closest community when you’re coming into the lake area from the North. It is on the James River arm of Table Rock Lake and has many positive attributes. Great fishing is one of them. Ask any angler on the lake and they will confirm that there are many hot spots that reach up the James River channels around Cape Fair. Great boating is also popular here with wider bodies of the lake and calm protected areas for water skiing and tubing.
Many have found this to be a beautiful place to have a permanent or a second home and for many reasons. The area is both rugged and a great place for agriculture. Some of the most beautiful vistas in the area are in the Cape Fair area as well as lake frontage.
Cape Fair is a lake community but not an incorporated city, so there is no city government. It is about 30 miles from Springfield and about 20 miles from Branson. Both are great places for shopping, dining and much more. The nearest grocery store is about 10 miles to Branson West. Once you put down roots here you will realize that living in Cape Fair is a little remote but really not that far from the necessities that you need.
From the Cape Fair area by lake, you are about 8 miles from where the James River will join into the White River which is the main channel of Table Rock Lake. Beautiful boating, great fishing and laid-back lifestyle all make Cape Fair a popular lake community.
We show a lot of properties in the Cape Fair area and are always boating to the restaurant and the large Cape Fair Marina on that part of Table Rock Lake. If you have any questions about this area, we will be most happy to answer them for you or show you a Cape Fair lakefront real estate listing.
