Branson. It is one of the most popular tourist towns in the midwest.
With people from Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and more coming in, there is an expectation that the town delivers quality entertainment.
Each year, about nine million tourists go to Branson. There are a lot of fun things to do in Branson, MO but one reason why they go is because of entertainment like dinner and show ensembles.
So, which shows are the best? Here are three recommendations.
1. Dolly Parton’s Stampede
Formerly the Dixie Stampede, this is one of the most popular dinner and show events in Branson. Outside the arena, you can take a walk and see the horses that will perform in that evening’s show before it begins.
The show focuses on horses and their riders galloping around the arena and performing tricks for the whole family to enjoy. It also has music, lighting, and entertainment along with the live animals.
But, to cap it all off, you are served a four-course feast in your seat when you buy a ticket to the show.
Children’s tickets start at $29.99 and adult tickets start at $59.99.
2. Showboat Branson Belle
This is a little bit different than the Stampede because it does not take place in an arena but rather on a cruise ship. The show is not exactly the main attraction here, rather a 2.5-hour cruise on Table Rock Lake where you are served a three-course meal with a gorgeous view of the lake.
Along with the meal, a show is performed to entertain you and your family, with what show depending on what cruise you sign up for. That can vary from comedy to magic, a live band, music and dancing, and more.
There are a few different options for what type of cruise that you can take. The first is a lunch cruise which departs at noon. Then there is a midday cruise (late lunch or early dinner) that departs at 4:00 p.m. and a dinner cruise that departs at 8:00 p.m.
No matter what you choose, you can be entertained, have a delicious meal, take in a great view, and spend time with your loved ones all at once.
3. A Tribute to George Strait
Finally, this dinner show that is perhaps the best of all is a tribute to the famous country singer George Strait. This show runs on weeknights with the dinner normally beginning at 7:00 p.m. and the show itself at 8:00 p.m.
Overall, this dinner show has won “Dinner Show of the Year” seven times out of all of the ones available in Branson.
The show stars Gordy Wensel, who covers Strait’s classic songs. It also features Wensel’s wife, Debbie, as she covers some of the female country singers who have opened for Strait over for him over the years such as Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, and Miranda Lambert.
